Sadly Jet had to be put down May 12, 2009 due to severe colic. Not sure what from. She will be missed.

Jet has her own special story. I am NOT an Arabian horse lover, they are pretty but are much too small for me. For years Sheryl and I have argued Arabian on her side over Quarter Horse on my side. Funny how I know own another Arab, and she got into Quarter Horses!! We rescued Jet one winter from starving to death where she was living. See "Jet's Progress Page" for her whole story and pictures of when I brought her home. She's just as sweet as can be, I'll most likely have her until her last days. She's coming 27 years old (in 2005) and there's not a thing wrong with her. The pictures above is how she looks after nothing but pasture grazing for the spring and summer. She doesn't need grain or any special supplements, and during the winter lives on local grass hay. I ride her every now and then, she's a bit nervous when you first get on her but settles down quickly. I heard she was shown Park Horse in her day, she must think I'm going to put her to work when I get on her! Instead we go for a short, quiet trail ride in the woods. She's currently living with her friend Mindy, who is Ray Decker's old mare. (That's Shon's grandpa, for anyone that doesn't know who Shon is, that's my other half!) The two girls get to spend their days just moseying around the pasture grazing.
