Rio

Couple of new pictures of Rio May 31, 2009 with Melinda.

1st horse of my own . Sheryl and I got him when he was a yearling, intended to train him and sell him for a profit. Well, you see the SELL part didn't happen, other than me giving Sheryl her half of the investment in him! Rio is the greatest, most irreplacable horse. When he was 3, I took him to a Combined Driving event, and took 5th place (pulling carts). After that we came to Black Raven, where he was used by trainers as a lesson horse, both on flat and over jumps as well as for little kids. He mostly enjoys a nice trail ride though. He was accidently borrowed out of the pasture where he was boarded and was a calf roping horse for a day! The guy thought he was borrowing Sheryl's horse, guess she forgot to mention Spok is a little Arabian!! Rio is about 10 now. He is an unregistered Breeding Stock Paint. His sire is a registered Paint, I think his mother is a Quarter Horse. He is 15.2 hands tall, probably around 1,100 lbs.
