Tia is about 16-18 years old, Percheron mare rescued by People Helping Horses in Arlington from a pasture with 16 other horses. The pasture was mud, they were not getting fed properly, no shelter or adequate water. Melinda, my cousin, adopted this mare from them in August 2008. She had been shod, they pulled the shoes because of an injury, then decided they needed to put them back on. She had shoes when they got her also. We now have her barefoot and feeling great!
